SHERRILL, N.Y. - Sherrill Silversmiths Board Member and Liberty Tabletop President Matt Roberts visited the White House on Tuesday to discuss his company’s manufactured flatware. Along with Roberts, co-owner Greg Owens and other members of Liberty Tabletop were recognized by President Donald Trump as the only remaining manufacturer of flatware in the United States. The elusive company was invited to Washington D.C. by Politician Claudia Tenney to present its manufacturing process, along with other business owners as part of the Made in America promotion.

The event, which welcomed 20 small- and medium- sized business leaders from throughout the country, focused on American-manufactured products. Roberts and Owens attended the event, featuring their Liberty Tabletop brand and the popular Betsy Ross manufacturing pattern.

Liberty Tabletop is an avid supporter of the Sherrill Silversmiths and the New York Collegiate Baseball League, evident by their sponsorship with the Silversmiths and their logo on the team’s baseball caps, which Roberts presented to the White House staff. The Roberts family has been hosting Smittie players throughout the summer, allowing college players from across the country to reside in the Sherrill area over the course of the summer. Earlier this season Roberts and his staff welcomed the Silversmiths on a field trip to Liberty Tabletop, offering a learning experience on flatware manufacturing, something that is an integral part of the community in which they represent.

The Silversmiths are incredibly proud of the Roberts family and Liberty Tabletop for their tremendous accomplishment and honor from the White House. The city of Sherrill and surrounding communities greatly appreciate the hard work and outstanding products that are produced from Liberty Tabletop on a daily basis here in Central New York.
